About The Position

The Operations Manager oversees and coordinates various aspects of business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. They are responsible for managing daily activities, optimizing processes, and implementing strategies to enhance operational performance. Additionally, they supervise staff, allocate resources, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulations to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Warehouse Management experience, Data collection, and Barcode systems
  • Experience in tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as overages and transfers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical, math and Problem-solving skills
  • Must have good skills in Microsoft Office applications including strong proficiency with MS Word & Excel
  • Ability to work independently to ensure efficient operation of a warehouse
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Good mechanical ability

Responsibilities

  • Managing inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of packaged goods
  • Supervise warehouse staff
  • Actively coordinates equipment preparation activities and shipping deadlines
  • Oversee Inbound & outbound activities related to order-filling, stock replenishment, and shipments to customers
  • Ensure trucks & trailers are efficiently and accurately loaded/unloaded to support the efficient movement of goods and materials to their destinations
  • Fulfill commitment to our customers and support sales objectives
  • Maintains standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the warehouse
  • Ensure that safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards
  • Frequently communicate with all levels of management
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the warehouse operations
  • Schedule LTL, FTL, small parcel, and local truck deliveries
  • Directly supervises team members employees within the department(s).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
