About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and oversee daily hauling operations across the Central Valley. In this key leadership role, you’ll guide our drivers, dispatchers, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service for our communities. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, transportation, or logistics (waste industry experience a plus!).
  • License: Valid California driver’s license; Class A or B CDL preferred.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Strategic thinker with great problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and organization
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and industry compliance standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and route management software (Encore experience a plus)
  • Customer-focused mindset with a drive for results
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with both office and field activity.
  • Regularly required to sit, walk, reach, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Team: Supervise and support drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Champion Safety: Enforce company safety standards, conduct audits, and maintain full DOT and OSHA compliance.
  • Drive Efficiency: Monitor performance, control costs, and look for ways to improve routes, labor, and equipment use.
  • Partner with the Community: Build strong relationships with city officials, municipal partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop Talent: Coach, train, and motivate your team to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Maintenance Department and other teams to keep our fleet and operations running at their best.
  • Problem Solve: Tackle challenges head-on and make sound, proactive decisions that keep routes on track.
  • Engage Locally: Support special projects, community cleanups, and events that make a real impact.
