This role is responsible for overseeing and directing all manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery in support of customer and business requirements. The position leads supervisors, team leaders, and plant personnel, manages scheduling and resources, and drives performance through effective communication, training, and continuous improvement. Success in this role requires strong leadership, disciplined execution of quality and safety systems, and the ability to adapt operations to changing customer demands.

Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training in plastic injection molding and/or plastics manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; TMM Operating System; Ability to learn new software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.
• Must adhere to all safety rules and company policies, as well as enforce the compliance and implementation of each through subordinates.
• Attendance/punctuality is consistently at work and on time; ensures that the Attendance Policy is enforced consistently through subordinates.
• Excellent communication skills are required to effectively lead and support employees and to motivate, encourage, and inspire employees.
• Responsible for the overall performance, quality, training, development and supervision manufacturing operations.
• Responsible for all lead supervisors and/or team leaders for manufacturing and support areas.
• Responsible for plant maintenance personnel.
• Responsible for plant processing personnel.
• Responsible for scheduling using MRP system.
• Responsible for prioritizing press activity based on customer demands.
• Plan and direct daily activities of operations support staff, including press set up technicians.
• Prepare and document all yearly performance evaluations for operations staff.
• Report daily, weekly and monthly operations performance statistics to Plant Manager and ensure manufacturing operations are hitting budgets and/or forecasts.
• Ensure all daily shipments to customers are completed in timely manner.
• Ensure products produced meet customer quality requirements.
• Assist in work-center development during new product launch.
• Coordination with support staff to meet ever-changing customer demands.
• On-Site Customer assistance during quality issue.
• Keeps facility clean and orderly using 5S principles.
