About The Position

Position will assist in oversight, direction and management of all day-to-day facets of business within the local Branch office. This role supports operational execution of low-voltage electronic security projects (access control, CCTV/VMS, intrusion, intercom, and integrated systems) including project scheduling, resource allocation, quality, compliance, and safety. Position monitors operational activity to support Branch profitability as is associated with The Cook & Boardman Group as a company; and helps establish operational goals while staying abreast of changing needs within the organization and Branch. Essential Functions Assigns, instructs, trains, and provides direction to Operations Team members in the performance of their jobs including Project Managers and Technicians. Reviews and manages personnel assignments and performance goals with Project Managers and Technicians within the Operations Team. Reviews, on a recurring basis, project schedules, job‑cost and labor‑utilization reports, field performance and safety metrics, and other documents related to operational execution. Partners with Sales and Engineering to validate project scope, design intent, and bill of materials prior to project kickoff; reviews submittals and redlines for constructability and compliance. Coordinates with Administrative and Procurement teams on material status and job readiness to support project execution. Monitors and ensures on‑time delivery and/or job completion. Assists in preparing preliminary Operations budget inputs and supports compliance with the final approved budget in partnership with the Branch Manager. Works to ensure excellent customer relations with internal and external stakeholders; acts as a liaison to clients during post‑sale project execution, while Sales retains ownership of pre‑sale relationships. Leads coaching, training, and day-to-day direction for the Operations Team; promotes a culture of process improvement, safety, and quality. Drives process improvement across operations to eliminate inefficiencies and strengthen schedule, quality, and cost outcomes. Ensures adherence to applicable codes, standards, and safety policies for low‑voltage electronic security installations. Assists with personnel management duties for Operations employees while consulting with Corporate Human Resources as needed. Supports operational components related to Branch financial performance. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience in low-voltage electronic security operations (access control, CCTV/VMS, intrusion, intercom, and integrated systems).
  • Prior experience interacting with general contractors, subcontractors, customer IT teams, and industry professionals required.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading drawings/specifications, validating system designs and BOMs, and reviewing submittals preferred.
