EMCOR Mechanical Services has an opportunity for an Operations Manager in Tempe, AZ or Norristown PA. Ability to travel up to 15% is required. This is a hybrid role. The primary focus of the EMS HVAC National Accounts Operations Manager is the supervision and implementation of new contracts, ensuring execution of the Departmental VP’s strategic intent and standardization across new accounts. The Operations Manager must be a subject matter expert in the company account life cycle management process, with a focus on sales to operations transitions, in support of the Project manager, to include; operational synchronization of customers’ operations team, detailed account specification coordination with Operating companies, detailed procurement and billing set up and monitor program execution through the life of the accounts. The EMS HVAC National Accounts Operations Manager exercises a sophisticated level of business acumen, multi-tasking and project leadership skills requiring a strategic mindset, discipline, excellent communication abilities, analytical skills, self-motivation, and creativity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a field requiring critical thinking, leadership and communication skills) from an accredited college. Strongly prefer PMP or similar certifications
  • Five to seven years of experience in facilities maintenance Project Management environment.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess a Real ID and/or Passport for domestic air travel from your state.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% to the EMCOR national account hubs as well as EMCOR service offices.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing company and department processes and providing recommendations for improvement. Specific tasks include assessing and articulating the “current state”, analyzing opportunities for improvement, documenting and articulating recommended improvement, gathering support for and implementing new or improved processes.
  • Review, monitor and provide feedback related to business development activity as it applies to our processes and standards.
  • Assist the account team and business development representatives in outlining any operational discrepancies and assist in contractual corrections as needed.
  • Review and submit all subcontractor and operating company exhibit documents.
  • Outline and assist with corrections to any contractual or process related account documentation.
  • Outline training schedules by role for incoming account teams and support managers and supervisors in training implementation.
  • Assist in the development, review and implementation of account operational documentation ensuring accurate document control and storage.
  • Support the account management team to outline any contractual mis-alignments post-go live and work with the BD team to outline any amendment needs.
  • Review CMMS uploads for accuracy and support the transition activities including:
  • Tracking the performance of the transition, analyzing data and producing reports to demonstrate progress.
  • Analyzing any internal requests for changes and consulting with management to deny or approve the proposed changes.
  • Develop and grow strong relationships across the organization and at all levels within the organization.
  • Conducting workshops to provide staff members with information on any major changes in the company, such as new operational protocols or policies.
  • Help drive contractual alignment through flow down/ roll out documentation provided to our operating companies and subcontractors for operational compliance.
  • Conducting post-transition reviews to identify areas of improvement for future projects
  • Assist account management teams through business analytical development, to include the needed information to support:
  • Ensure appropriate reporting and analysis via KPI’s and metrics
  • Lead virtual teams from other functions or regions to ensure that new service lines are documented correctly and operational support acceptance is achieved
  • Develop and support transition calendar to protect critical steps and information needs throughout the transition timeline, educating back to key stakeholders when an activity may or has already impacted the overall transition timeline.
