Day to day as a Operations Manager As the Operations Manager at Lunds & Byerlys, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment for our employees and an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, coordination, and training of store staff while promoting our customer service standards. You will be instrumental in recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring team members, as well as managing time and attendance reporting, payroll processes, and bookkeeping. Additionally, you will analyze financial performance reports to optimize resource allocation, ensuring efficiency across all departments. Collaborating closely with the general manager, you will execute vital management functions, addressing issues proactively to enhance store operations. Your leadership will help create an engaging atmosphere both for employees and customers, ensuring excellence in service and operational integrity, while maintaining compliance with safety and food safety regulations. Requirements

  • Strong team leadership experience
  • Service-oriented, energetic demeanor
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong delegation and supervisory skills
  • Sound understanding of retail operations
  • Strong judgment in decision-making
  • Proficiency with software tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong math skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years' experience with human resources, payroll, scheduling and all aspects of bookkeeping
  • Prior team leadership experience
