Wisconsin Stamping is looking for a dynamic Operations Manager at our Hartford, WI manufacturing facility who is seeking a challenging career in an aggressive, forward-thinking environment. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Operations Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing plant operations, safety, staff development, reporting, process improvement and facility automation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience and a minimum of 2 years in an operations or plant management capacity.
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Creativity and a can-do attitude.
  • Computer aptitude in Microsoft Office suite and CAD/CAM systems with an ability to adapt to and implement new technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors or associates degree in engineering or technical major is a plus.
  • Prior experience in metal working, fabrication and/or machining is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate production activities, scheduling, shipping & receiving, quality, safety and maintenance activities.
  • Recommend and implement changes in processes, procedures and equipment to improve performance, productivity and quality.
  • Recommend and implement new manufacturing and system technologies.
  • Coordinate and assist the Production Supervisor to maximize efficiency and ensure capacity utilization.
  • Establish, implement and track production metrics.
  • Develop and mentor supervisors and department leaders.
  • Work with other functional areas to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication between manufacturing team and support functions.
  • Address and resolve questions and problems expeditiously.
  • Comply with all quality and safety regulations.
