The Operations Manager is responsible for staffing, employee engagement and satisfaction, profitability, quality and compliance, Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs), optimized service, process design, implementation and improvement. Develop and adhere to budgetary guidelines to ensure profitability.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of supervisory experience
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ Years experience managing, leading and developing supervisors
  • Management skills – coaching and development of supervisors
  • Demonstrated employee engagement skills
  • Strong communications skills – open and candid verbal and written communications; ability to debate, decide and commit effectively at all levels and across all functional areas
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office
  • Very thorough knowledge of Operations Management
  • In-depth experience with a WMS
  • Adept at strategic thinking and strategic business planning
  • Must be open to flexible day and hours, Monday through Saturday, with a typical start time of 10AM; must also be open to overtime as needed and adjusting shift based on business requirements

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and directs functions in a highly automated, central fill pharmacy
  • Leads and develops up to 2+ supervisors and up to 40+ pharmacy technicians
  • Highly engaged with the team to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction
  • Ensures service level and quality goals are met daily
  • Assertively seeks solutions at the root level of problems
  • Builds teamwork among DC management team and employees
  • Closely monitors operation to ensure it is running with optimal efficiency and minimal waste
  • Ensures all standard operating procedures are kept current, and holds the team accountable to SOPs
  • Oversees hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees
  • Ensures warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies
  • Works closely with outside teams to troubleshoot and improve
  • Ensures the central fill meets or exceeds expectations of cleanliness and organization
