About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and performance oversight of operational programs to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, customer requirements, and contractual commitments, working alongside Program Managers and Senior Program Managers. This role integrates cross-functional teams, manages program scope, schedule, cost, and risk, and drives operational excellence across the organization. Serves as a key interface between operations, program management, engineering, supply chain, quality, and executive leadership to ensure disciplined execution, scalable growth, and predictable delivery performance. This role operates in both office and production environments with regular interaction across operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams. The position may require time on the production floor to support daily execution and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or production management
  • Prior people leadership experience required
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational excellence
  • Ability to interpret data and use metrics to guide decisions
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Knowledge: gained through college education proven by their diploma, learned through applicable company trainings proven with training completion certificates
  • Basic Skill Requirements: documented in employee’s resume, proven by their acquisition of a college degree

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with daily operational activities, including production planning, scheduling, and workflow management
  • Lead and support operations staff to meet performance, safety, and quality expectations
  • Ensure operational processes align with company goals, customer requirements, and compliance standards
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery, cost, quality, and productivity
  • Drive corrective actions for operational issues and performance gaps
  • Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and program management to support production and delivery commitments
  • Coordinate resources, priorities, and timelines to meet customer and business needs
  • Support new product introductions and process changes
  • Promote a safe, organized, and compliant work environment
  • Support hiring, training, and development of operations staff
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide regular operational updates, metrics, and insights to leadership
  • Support capacity planning, labor planning, and resource forecasting
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives related to operations
