About The Position

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the continued success and growth of Classic Rock’s Pittsburgh location. This position leads the design, office, and field teams to ensure alignment with company goals and standards. As the face of the Classic Rock experience, this role delivers exceptional customer service and showroom presentation while also managing natural stone procurement and operational excellence. The Operations Manager will foster team development, improve process efficiency, and contribute to strategic business decisions that drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and customer-facing technologies.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical documents and effectively communicate in both written and spoken formats.
  • Solid math and reasoning skills with the ability to calculate ratios, percentages, and interpret data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in stone, construction materials, or interior design industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the Pittsburgh location in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Partner with Finance, Executive VP, and President/CEO to develop budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and strategic growth plans.
  • Analyze operational data to identify and implement improvements, including Theory of Constraints-based methodologies.
  • Participate in daily buffer meetings to support production planning and scheduling.
  • Schedule Pittsburgh jobs and forklift rentals, ensuring efficient execution and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety policies, working in partnership with the VP of HR & Safety and Field teams.
  • Fully own the remake process for the Pittsburgh location, including completion of AARs within 24 hours and ensuring all remakes are properly scheduled and communicated to the dealer immediately.
  • Lead efforts to improve quality, cost, accuracy, and safety across the design center and field operations.
  • Monitor daily goals and performance metrics for the Pittsburgh team.
  • Support Install teams through daily huddles, job flow coordination, and safety supply management.
  • Coordinate with the Fleet Coordinator for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Supervise Pittsburgh’s Design Center team.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, and 90-day reviews.
  • Partner with HR on hiring, performance management, and employee development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Provide leadership and support to the Design Center Manager, ensuring effective showroom operations, material coordination, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Ensure slab inventory photos are current for the assigned location by verifying up-to-date images, identifying missing photos, and coordinating prompt updates.
