About The Position

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall day-to-day operations of the facility. This includes daily school routes, trips, charters, driver training, and recruitment programs. The ideal candidate has experience in a leadership role within the transportation industry.

Requirements

High school diploma, equivalent certification
3+ years’ experience in school bus or transportation related operations
1+ years’ experience in a leadership role
If not CDL licensed will need to obtain
Experience in MS Office Suite
Knowledgeable in School District contracts and Federal and State regulations
Pass pre-employment screenings

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree from an accredited university or college in business is preferred
Valid CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsement is a plus

Responsibilities

In conjunction with the GM, assist with the overall day-to-day operations of the facility
Ensure coverage of daily transit fixed routes, trips, and charters
On-going customer development with Port Byron School District
Assist with driver training and recruitment programs
Ensure all drivers are equipped with all necessary job-related training in designee area
Assist in preparing payroll, account receivables, accounts payables, and month end requirements
Coordinate with HR when conducting disciplinary actions of employees
Participate in planning annual financial requirements for the facility
Responsible for carrying out all STA policies and State and Federal applicable regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
