Job Summary: With reporting responsibilities to the AVP of Liquid and In-Plant Transloading, this position is directly responsible for performing and managing essential rail functions in a safety sensitive and production environment. To include; Rail Operations, load out/wash out operations, and Performing Light Maintenance, Training new staff when requested, Record keeping and Communication of issues with Management. General – Works closely with EHS Director, Customer Success Representatives (CSRs), warehouse department, trucking department and sales department. Must oversee facilities and operations to meet KPI targets and goals. Additional duties and responsibilities may be added or deleted at any time. Essential Functions/Duties: Employee Management Must provide positive leadership for all warehouse and packaging staff at multiple facilities. Maintain the appropriate amount of staffing to accomplish the required production goals for all warehouse and packaging activities. Maintain a safe work environment and drive the company’s safety culture into all aspects of the job functions. Conduct/Supervise and document daily/weekly/monthly safety meetings. Maintain meticulous records of employee training, employee counseling, and employee reviews. Continuous training and development of employees and temporary staff. Site Specific Publish and conduct weekly “Rule of the week”/daily Safety Briefs. Rail and Rail King Trainer, qualifier and recertification coordinator. Inventory control of rail supplies, parts, safety equipment and warehouse/office supply. Participate in site (client) safety initiatives, meetings and crew communications. Participate in Associate training programs – new hires, current on-going, quarterly certifications. Implement safety programs to enforce a strong safety culture and seek continuous improvement plans and ideas. Pre-Incident Notification (PIN) collection, review and communication. Inventory control of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and distribution to Associates. Conducts and participates in site-specific safety walks/Monthly Safety Audits. Update file for Associate safety/procedural training ISO operational procedures. Observes and trains of Proper Waste Disposal and Environmental Health. Rail and Rail Mover Stage and deliver additives to the unit upon request from Ineos Operations. Maintain and conduct daily shift inspection of rail moving equipment; including Rail Kings, rail track, switches and crossings. Coordinate plant diesel fuel deliveries for Rail Kings and yard truck. Schedule, coordinate and supervise all maintenance contractors that perform work on or in the Carson rail yard including rail tracks and switches or on equipment associated with the Rail Operations. Perform light maintenance on Rail equipment according to Rail King Maintenance schedule. Daily fluid level checks and recordings on rail equipment. Daily Documented Pellet Control Survey and Inspection. Daily track walk to identify car placement, status and counts of total loaded, partial and empty hopper cars available in the rail yard. Escort the Union Pacific while operating inside the INEOS rail yard for safety, security and environmental compliance during daily switch. Inspection of all empty hopper cars that return to plant for proper operation, damage and security issues. Will coordinate, segregate and schedule repairs for damaged railcars pending repairs. (Outside contractor provided by Ineos) Management of all rail movements, operations and staff. Management of Bulk Trucking Terminal Inventory- SAP plant (7280). Update Equipment Car Count Spreadsheet. Training and Certification of all site rail personnel. (PLXP developed program) Perform all Carson site OCS (Operation Clean Sweep) Training and Awareness. Training and Certification of all site Loadout & Rail personnel (Supplier developed program). Conduct annual Weights and Measures Weighmaster training. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess 5-10 years of previous management/supervisory experience.
Must have the ability to think independently and make decisions that are in the company’s best interest.
Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, especially using Excel spreadsheets and business management systems along with customer interface systems.
Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills.
Strong analytical abilities for planning, forecasting, inventory management, product scheduling, and product balancing.
Must be multi-task oriented with the ability to handle many activities simultaneously.
Must be able to work long hours and weekends and available for travel on the company’s behalf.
Must be able to lift/and/or up to 50 pounds regularly
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk indoors and outside
Must be able to operate a computer, scanner, and filing equipment
