About The Position

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of facility operations including but not limited to guest services, maintenance, housekeeping. Event management tasks include security, setting up rooms, managing room setup staff, and closing/locking building.

Requirements

Associates degree or related degree/certificate to the position
At least 3 years of related experience
Must have excellent interpersonal, project management and problem-solving skills
Must be a team player, must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have basic computer skills
Must be willing to obtain CPR certifications
Organized, efficient, flexible, and able to meet deadlines
Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays
Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time in various conditions
Must be able to setup rooms with banquet tables, 6 foot rectangle tables, chairs

Responsibilities

Assist with scheduling of Part-Time team members
Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility
Manage venue heating and cooling schedule using a web-based platform
Coordinate with city building manager on facility repairs and maintenance
Oversees efficient conversion and transition between events
Serve in a security role at select events and manage setup/tear down of rooms and locking building
Collaborate closely with other departments (Event Manager, Sales Manager, General Manager)
Ensures all health & safety, security, and facility maintenance procedures are followed
Ensures events comply with safety regulations and staff is adequately prepared for events
Hire, train, and educate staff on proper event and safety procedures
Serve as Manager-On-Duty ("MOD") at certain events
