About The Position

This involves focusing on regional or upstream distribution centers, target.com fulfillment centers, or import warehouses. Good work is done across Distribution Center Operations, Quality Management, and Distribution Center Productivity, constantly analyzing and recalibrating support for people, process, and technology investments in an evolving business. An Operations Manager role offers the chance to influence with a focus on safety, leadership, excellence, self-motivation, problem-solving, and teamwork. This role involves fostering a “safety first” culture through awareness, training, and accountability, and establishing oneself as an engaging and inclusive leader responsible for maximizing team productivity, growth, and development. It requires creating a positive work environment through real-time observation and constructive feedback, and working with urgency to ensure operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are informed and coordinated. The manager will have autonomy to innovate with new process approaches for efficiency and future flow optimization, supported by an environment of calculated risk and testing, and will be committed to helping teams meet business goals.

Requirements

Four-year degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage and motivate others
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the mezzanine platforms
Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems and other programs within the Distribution Center, for example, ability to traverse conveyor crossovers
