About The Position

A growing stone fabrication and installation company is seeking a highly engaged, results-driven Operations Manager to lead all shop and field installation activities. This is a hands-on leadership role with full responsibility for production, installation, workforce management, and day-to-day operational performance. The ideal candidate thrives on the shop floor, builds strong teams, and drives excellence in safety, quality, service, and cost.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, trades, construction, cabinetry, stone fabrication, or other process-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in fast-paced, hands-on operational environments.
  • Strong competency in production scheduling, workflow management, and cost controls.
  • Proven ability to build trust, enforce standards, and “roll up your sleeves” to solve real-time problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Stone fabrication or installation experience is preferred, but strong operators from other industries will be considered; full training provided for the right candidate

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily, on-site leadership for fabrication and installation teams; maintain a consistent presence on the shop floor.
  • Oversee operations for a workforce of roughly 20 –35 employees depending on seasonal demand.
  • Execute operational strategies and performance goals in partnership with ownership/leadership.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and schedule compliance across all projects.
  • Manage labor planning, staffing levels, and material usage to support productivity and budget targets.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to reinforce safety, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Build a culture of accountability through coaching, mentoring, and corrective action where appropriate.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and development for fabrication and installation personnel.
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA and all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on workflow optimization, shop organization, and scheduling efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, templating, scheduling, and leadership to ensure seamless project execution.
