About The Position

Operations Manager - Fulfillment Hebron, Ky Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 based on experience Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1. Directs Fulfillment Center team to achieve prescribed operational objectives and ensures KPI goals are met with the highest regard for quality, safety, as well as inventory control ensuring both customer and client satisfaction. 2. Develops, implements and directs programs and training to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property and enforces safety rules and guidelines. 3. Assists in ensuring the security of the facility and its employees, contents and surroundings. 4. Establishes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all production functions to ensure the consistent application of principles by associates. 5. Works closely with the client to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes. Implements continuous improvements in processes. 6. Renew and Approve controllable costs in accordance with budgeted parameters for the department, and reviews the monthly P&L for variances from budget 7. Participates in budget preparation and revenue/account analyses and ensures the accurate preparation and timely distribution of reports to the VP Warehousing on a timely basis. 8. Develops and maintains a productive work team through proper application of management skills in the hiring, coaching, training, and disciplinary action processes. 9. Develop track and report on labor standards by activity to drive productivity and achieve KPI goals. 10. Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials. 11. Tracks and provides appropriate disciplinary action and motivational techniques to employees on a timely basis. 12. Enforces and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations. 13. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. 14. Establishes and maintains a professional and courteous relationship with all customers. Marginal Functions: 1. Visits customer sites as needed to ensure overall customer satisfaction. 2. Represents the company at business and industry events as needed.

Requirements

  • College degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business field required; will accept 10+ years of experience in related field in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years prior senior level management experience in fulfillment center operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior management experience in with emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication and planning.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in P&L reviews
  • Demonstrated proficiency in workforce planning and projection in a seasonal staffing environment.
  • Must possess strong team building skills with emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication and planning.
  • Demonstrated upward progression in career path positions held.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be very detail oriented.
  • Broad knowledge of warehousing operations.
  • Must possess strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and various Warehouse Management and routing software applications.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently with a professional, customer friendly attitude.
