The operations manager oversees key processes, supports cross-functional teams, and helps drive organizational efficiency. This role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage day-to-day operations while supporting long-term goals.

  • Serve as the liaison between executive leadership and operations management.
  • Build and maintain industry relationships with Omni-Chem 136, ACD-affiliated companies, and other partners to share best practices.
  • Create, implement, and standardize operational processes to improve productivity and strengthen departmental structure.
  • Develop and maintain standard and emergency procedures for product handling.
  • Review, create, and refine systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, controls, and resource needs.
  • Set and achieve realistic, performance-driven goals for assigned departments.
  • Manage profitability targets using KPIs and P&L analysis.
  • Oversee budgeting for assigned locations and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Manage daily interdepartmental transactions and adjustments. Extract data and reports from Chempax or the ERP system to track and troubleshoot purchasing, inventory, order management, and logistics workflows.
  • Partner with Inventory and Supply Chain teams to manage inventory and determine appropriate Min/Max levels.
  • Work with the production manager on staff development, succession planning, and continuous process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with sales, accounting, shipping, and other departments to support integrated business processes.
  • Help strengthen company culture and promote alignment with organizational values.
  • Analyze operational, financial, and compliance data to identify trends, resolve issues, and support decision-making.
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, reviewing, and analyzing production performance records and responding to related inquiries.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • At least 5 years of operational leadership experience across multiple manufacturing or distribution sites.
  • Successful track record in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in logistics, fleet management, inventory, and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, supply chain processes, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Proficient in budgeting, financial analysis, and KPI management.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Skilled in project management and documentation.
  • Proficient with operations and inventory management software.
  • Ability to innovate, lead change, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Familiarity with matrix reporting structures is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as APICS, Lean/Six Sigma, or PMP are a plus.
