About The Position

PCI is seeking an experienced Glass and Glazing, Operations Manager for our PCI Denver 583 branch based in Aurora, CO. This individual will play a vital role in overseeing commercial glass and glazing projects from conception to completion and be responsible for the following duties: Manage business unit in commercial glass and glazing operations in Denver. Initiate and maintain customer contact which will enable securements and profitable execution of work. Direct and manage the construction activities of projects in this area of responsibility in order to maximize margin contribution results. Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications and requirements for each project. Manage job site personnel in order to maintain effective relations with owner, engineers, utilities, subcontractors, contractors, unions, etc. Implement the corporate program regarding loss control and claims management pertaining to workers compensation. Analyze and monitor actual vs. estimated costs in order to develop action plans where unfavorable variances are detected. Ensure that an effective job control system is utilized on each project. Responsible to solicit the assistance of the estimating department when necessary in order to assure maximum bidding activity without sacrificing quality. Negotiate contract issues and variances and further negotiate change order, scope changes, claims and other project issues as required. This position is safety sensitive Salary range: $143,200-$191,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in construction science or construction management or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as a project manager in the Glass and Glazing industry
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience managing teams and processes.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings.
Good communication skills.
Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.

Able to work in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
Clear understanding of safety needs specifically related to the glass and glazing industry.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Experience with working with union representatives.
OSHA Certification.
Local to Denver metro area is preferred but not required
