About The Position

It's more than a job As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. At Kuehne+Nagel, our work truly contributes to more than we imagine. ‎ You will lead a team and have overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, staffing, safety, and performance of your area. Your typical shift will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. We will count on your successful record of accomplishment in leadership and knowledge of warehouse equipment, applications, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and MHE (Material Handling Equipment) to ensure a positive, engaged workforce and to keep our operations running smoothly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of warehousing experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a distribution environment
• 1+ years of experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement
• Knowledge of various production and quality systems
• Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Ensure new hires are thoroughly trained, and ongoing training is provided to all employees to ensure their continued success
• Oversee associates, manage work schedules, and ensure attendance is accurately recorded
• Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment)
• Provide reporting and take part in weekly and monthly business reviews
• Analyze process improvements and rollout of the agreed next steps
• Establishes a clear communication channel between our internal and external stakeholders
