About The Position

The position oversees the operating budget and monitors the cost and effectiveness of production activities. It involves resource optimization, allocating labor and capital resources to maximize productivity and achieve quality and manufacturing standards. The role requires researching, evaluating, and approving investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities. The individual will partner with plant leadership to ensure that the full process, from supplier to customer, meets quality standards. Responsibilities also include defining and approving appropriate procedures and measures for quality control, evaluating and implementing quality assurance strategies, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. The position involves facilitating audits and regulatory inspections, liaising with external vendors, and maintaining records as per ISO/TS/EMS standards. Additionally, the role manages physical logistics activities, ensures proper maintenance of machines and technical equipment, translates customer specifications into manufacturing processes, and oversees personnel management and training needs.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering or relevant field of technical or business education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Prior supervisory or management experience required with the ability to impact and influence a team
  • Good technical knowledge of M+H products
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and prior Sage experience
  • Understanding of profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on deliverables
  • Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with negotiation and closing skills
  • Possess strategic thinking, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work individually and in a team
  • Knowledge on handling TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Experience in mass production; improving existing production processes
  • Strong understanding of safety requirements
  • Must be able to read, understand and comply with written and verbal instructions, company processes and procedures and safety policies

Responsibilities

  • Oversees operating budget and monitors cost and effectiveness of production activities
  • Oversees resource optimization and allocates labor and capital resources to maximize productivity and achieve quality and manufacturing standards
  • Researches, evaluates, and approves investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities
  • Partners with plant leadership to ensure the full process, from supplier to customer, regarding quality issues is met
  • Defines/approves the appropriate procedures and measures for quality control (CRM, production quality, supplier quality)
  • Evaluates, develops and implements quality assurance strategies and regulations, improves existing strategies to fit in the plant’s operations
  • Evaluates potential risks, ensures compliance with standards and regulations and provides recommendations
  • Facilitates audits and regulatory inspections
  • Liaises with external vendors, contractors or suppliers to ensure that their products or services meet the M+H quality standards
  • Ensures and maintains all records as per ISO / TS / EMS Standards
  • Manages physical logistics activities including internal material flow within the plant
  • Ensures all machines and technical equipment are properly maintained
  • Translates customer specifications into the appropriate manufacturing process
  • Ensures the working area is prepared and all technical equipment is set up for the start of production
  • Defines, develops and executes production processes according to customer specifications for all new projects
  • Ensures all personnel are employed in accordance with production needs and assigned to positions that match their qualifications; identifies, facilitates and maintains personnel training needs and development plan
  • Hires, leads, guides, develops, motivates, disciplines and terminates direct reports within HR policy ensuring each area is properly staffed
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
