About The Position

The Operations Manager at Hyatt Place Memphis Primacy Parkway is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations, ensuring high standards of service and quality for guests. This role includes managing food and beverage services, housekeeping, front office operations, and staff training, while also acting as the property Manager on Duty when assigned. The Operations Manager collaborates with various departments to maintain operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Hotel Administration or Management
  • Hotel level front office experience, preferably with FOSSE
  • Two years of previous team management or supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal and time management skills
  • Adaptability and accounting skills
  • Guest relation skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure an environment of high standards of service and quality for guests.
  • Enhance teamwork and cooperation between all departments.
  • Maintain accurate records and safeguard all vending machines and convenience store items.
  • Cooperate with the General Manager and other department heads to ensure proper suite inventory controls.
  • Manage the Spirit Reservation computer and maintain a relationship with the Property Management System provider.
  • Work with maintenance to ensure proper key controls.
  • Maintain departmental budget and staffing levels in relation to occupancy levels.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee records and perform timely reviews.
  • Ensure accurate adherence to bank records and procedures for timely collections.
  • Maintain the market, lobby, and front office area to the highest standards.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, City Ledger, and Guest Ledger.
  • Provide comprehensive training to Front Office staff.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as designated by the General Manager.
