The Operations Manager will plan, direct and coordinate the operations procurement functions in conjunction with manufacturing operations. Responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the purchasing, departmental, and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies, and ensuring these strategies are aligned with manufacturing objectives.

  • Supervise Production Engineering Department to support Production Capacity Planning in addition with facilitating Process and Productivity Improvements in the Plant Operations
  • Liaison between Purchasing and Plant Operations ensuring inventory control and preferred outside resources are utilized to support forecast and achieve customer demand
  • Support Plant Operations in CAPEX through vendor review and cost/benefit analysis
  • Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions, i.e., HR, IT and Accounting for improved effectiveness
  • Establish and implement continuous improvement to support goals, objectives, and targets, conferring with Plant Management as necessary
  • Ensure the development and training of staff that meets defined performance standards
  • Maintain compliance to the company safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible for directing the work of other team members
  • B.S. in Business Administration or Engineering (preferred technical degree)
  • Eight or more years related experience
  • Industry relevant production experience
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Highly motivated, very detailed and service oriented with a proven track record
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices
  • Strong communicator with positive attitude
  • Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Commitment to company Core Values
  • Certification or Experience in implementing Lean Practices
  • Strong mechanical or electrical background
  • Knowledgeable in Lean Practices, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement strategies.
