About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient day-to-day operations of a high-volume, multishift distribution center. This role focuses on executing an operations strategy that enhances productivity, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and contributor engagement, while driving a culture of contribution and ensuring outstanding customer experiences. The Operations Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement distribution strategies and manage the team responsible for receiving, warehousing, and shipping products.

Requirements

  • Experience in multiple industries/companies.
  • Strong background in supply chain systems (WMS, Inventory Planning, ERP, etc.).
  • Experienced in project management with a proven track record in process improvement.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and employee engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) capable of communicating at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Experience within a Lean Six-Sigma manufacturing or sourcing/distribution environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute operations shift strategy with a focus on continuous improvement and supporting the Culture of Contribution.
  • Lead distribution center initiatives that enhance process efficiency, material flow, labor productivity, quality, safety, and space utilization.
  • Partner with other functional areas to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships between leadership and contributors.
  • Develop talent through coaching, empowering, and mentoring direct reports.
  • Implement all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws regarding hazardous materials and health and safety.
