The Operations Manager – Water Transfer is responsible for the management and operations success of Flowpoint’s water transfer and poly-pipe divisions. This role requires highly effective and proactive field leadership to supervisor teams and be a very strong communicator capable of identifying problems before they become issues with field teams or customers. The Operations Manager will facilitate several programs around the company; including but not limited to customer relations, personnel and equipment resources, field logistics, procurement, control inventory and track assets. This role will be a charismatic and effective leader in support of project success capable of carrying the company mission and values on his sleeve to drive operational excellence. The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in assuring that customers’ needs are met. They will work tirelessly to build relationships with managers, field teams, customers and outside vendors to help foster alignment with our overall vision. Promotes an attitude of teamwork, collaboration, and camaraderie.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years’ experience in operational field leadership role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry, and accounting software programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing
  • Lift or carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Will work in an office environment.
  • Be available to travel if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Complete each project safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner that’s within budget.
  • Client relationship building: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Develop strategies to upsell or cross-sell products or services to existing clients.
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives that align with company vision provided by executive team.
  • Provide exceptional field leadership guidance to all team members.
  • Enforce strict reporting requirements and standards for the company.
  • Follow and implement new processes and procedures that improve the company.
  • Work with the sales team to develop sales strategies and proper project estimates.
  • Ensure a high utilization for personnel and equipment.
  • Manage field team time off schedules.
  • Time management of all field personnel including first line supervision of payroll and correction requests.
  • Work alongside Human Resources to evaluate team and ensure proper documentation of disciplinary or corrective action needs.
  • Responsible for pre-job walk and submitting job start commission forms and ensure projects are rigged up timely in advance of first flow dates.
  • Ensure proper project close-out and asset equipment moves.
  • Make recommendations for efficiency improvements and make changes on the fly to accommodate a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Be vigilant on making sure all client needs are met and that projects are adequately supported with qualified personnel and quality equipment needed for the job.
  • Work closely with Service and Maintenance Departments on equipment condition and help ensure equipment is well cared for.
  • Coordinate with logistics team of CDL drivers to pickup/deliveries of equipment to job sites.
  • Maintain inventory including lay flat, poly-pipe, fittings, hoses, and fuel.
  • Reduce the need for third party service by optimizing skillsets of the team and resources needed to be successful.
  • Responsible for tracking all project budgets, verifying billing, and asset tracking.
  • Assist with customer billing – work with Accounts Receivable to submit all monthly billings which could include: Invoice Creation Billing Accuracy and Verification Ensure daily ticket billing summary matches invoices Bi-Weekly Reporting and Invoicing
  • Other duties as assigned.
