The Operations Management Trainee (OMT) position at Ryder is an 18-month structured training program designed to develop leadership and operational knowledge in the transportation and logistics industry.   • Responsible for customer relationship activities, ensuring quality customer interface and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the rental department to maximize utilization without compromising lease customers.
  • Partner with Sales staff on customer calls to enhance customer satisfaction and generate new business.
  • Manage running costs and maintenance overheads, ensuring adherence to policies and processes.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee accurate PM scheduling, breakdowns, and vehicle status updates; manage Technician work planning.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • One (1) year or more customer service experience with issue resolution preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Strong mechanical skills and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Strong PC knowledge, including advanced spreadsheet and word processing skills.
  • Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls, and metrics.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
