Amentum is seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Technical to support a future shipbuilding acquisition program management services contract for US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Team Submarine (TEAM SUB).
Oversees the staff and manages activities of the Technical Operations Department of an organization.
Plans, coordinates, and executes the design, development, testing, and installation of all technical components of a project, working with the entire technical team and with outsourcing companies or external clients.
Analyzes reports and supervises the development of each project. Responds quickly to emergencies or questionable matters.
Provides advice and direction to staff, and assures staff complies with technical guidelines and regulations.
Recommends ideas for potential improvements, and anticipates future needs.
Communicates the technical operations with other departments, keeping track of the company's business plan.
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
Minimum of 10 years experience with Navy Programs.
Must be capable of leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
BS/BA Degree.
10 years experience with DOD acquisition / In-Service Programs.
5 years experience working with submarine/combat systems.
