About The Position

The Operations Manager at Amazon plays a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are delivered accurately and on time. This position involves leading and developing a team of both salaried and hourly employees, focusing on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. The Operations Manager is responsible for driving improvements through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving, while also managing the workflow across the first, middle, and last mile of operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience

Responsibilities

  • Support, mentor, and motivate your team
  • Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
  • Create and implement productivity plans through forecast reviews and determining productivity requirements
  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
  • Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources to meet business objectives
  • Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Work in an environment with varying noise levels and temperatures
  • Work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or overnight shifts
