About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly personable Plumbing Operations Manager to oversee and support day-to-day operations for a residential service plumbing company backed by a national franchise . This role is ideal for a strong leader who understands the field, communicates effectively with customers and technicians, and can manage projects and operations from planning through completion. The Operations Manager will work closely with ownership, office staff, and field teams to ensure operational efficiency, consistent service quality, and an exceptional customer experience while supporting company growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in residential service plumbing operations
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and construction documents
  • Ability to draw isometric drawings
  • Experience bidding and estimating plumbing work
  • Ability to accurately quote time and material jobs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Customer-focused mindset with a professional demeanor
  • Plumbing license is NOT required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ServiceTitan and/or FieldEdge (strong plus)
  • Prior operations, project management, or supervisory experience in plumbing
  • Experience working in a franchise-backed or growth-oriented service environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plumbing operations with a primary focus on residential service , with some exposure to light commercial and project-based work as needed
  • Manage, support, and hold field teams accountable for productivity, quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Review, interpret, and read blueprints and construction plans when applicable
  • Create and draw isometric drawings as needed for projects
  • Bid and estimate plumbing work, including:
  • Time & material pricing
  • Labor and material takeoffs
  • Prepare and review proposals, change orders, and job costing
  • Coordinate scheduling, manpower, and materials to meet operational and service timelines
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to company standards
  • Support process improvements, operational efficiency, and best practices aligned with a national franchise model
  • Utilize service and operations software to manage workflows, track jobs, and maintain documentation
