About The Position

This position supports Conneaut and Geneva Medical Center. What You Will Do Managing all aspects of shared governance (25%25) Managing staffing and program flow, i.e. Supervisors, Sitters, (20%25) Improving systems and managing projects that support patient care, i.e. Throughput, Project Management, Early Discharge (20%25) Developing staff and monitoring needs for all student experiences (15%25) Allocates resources effectively (10%25) Develops policies and procedures for the area ensuring that all regulatory standards are met (5%25) Administrator on Call for hospital administrative decision support (5%25) Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Requirements

  • (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Nursing (Required)
  • 5+ years of nursing experience (Required)
  • 2+ years leadership experience (Required)
  • Sound knowledge of DNV, CMS standards and other regulatory standards (Required proficiency)
  • Experience in electronic medical record applications (i.e. Epic applications etc.) (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Required proficiency)
  • Flexibility in adjusting to diversity in activities (Required proficiency)
  • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) (Required proficiency)
  • Familiarity with project management principles (Required proficiency)
  • Familiarity with LEAN principles (Required proficiency)
  • Evidence of clinical and nursing management leadership (Required proficiency)
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
  • Certification in clinical or leadership specialty (Required within 1 Year)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree MHA, MBA, MSN (Preferred)
  • Understanding of financial statements or strong business background (Preferred proficiency)
