About The Position
As an Operations Manager Intern at Target's Regional Distribution Center in Tifton, GA, you will experience firsthand what it’s like to lead a team within a supply chain facility. This internship is a paid, hands-on training program designed to develop and prepare you for a future in operations leadership. You will work closely with other managers and team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of how Target's supply chain operates and what it takes to excel in a management role. Throughout the internship, you will lead and support the execution of daily operations, working alongside your team members to learn how to motivate and influence them effectively. The program is structured to teach you how to lead within a supply chain facility, with a dedicated Mentor guiding you through the intricacies of effective leadership. You will engage in problem-solving, conduct real-time observations, and drive results while ensuring safety and maximizing productivity. Your development will be prioritized, with ongoing conversations with your Mentor and Manager to support your growth. You will also have the opportunity to lead your Mentor's work center, gaining valuable experience in managing a team and creating business strategies. As an Operations Intern, you will be involved in various responsibilities, including maintaining quality and inventory accuracy, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing process improvement initiatives. You will also be responsible for recruiting and mentoring team members, addressing operational hurdles, and leading daily meetings.
