About The Position

The Operations Manager at Conagra Brands' Indianapolis Bakery Plant is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the plant's production departments. This role focuses on production planning, implementing standard work practices, and fostering continuous improvement through autonomous maintenance. The Operations Manager will lead a team of supervisors and managers to ensure production goals are met while promoting employee engagement and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Food Science, Management, Product Operations, or equivalent field of study is required.
• 5 years of Manufacturing experience.
• 3 years Management / Supervisory experience.
• Food industry experience in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement the plant-specific mission to assure continuous improvement and lead the Autonomous Manufacturing Development (AMD) Pillar.
• Lead production supervisors, production managers, and the maintenance manager, providing prioritization guidance on daily responsibilities.
• Build the capabilities of the Line Structure team members through validation on Step Up Cards.
• Oversee the Daily Direction Setting system health and metrics.
• Promote employee engagement and development to maximize safety, manufacturing, quality, and productivity goal completion.
• Collaborate with production planning and materials management to maintain scheduled goals and customer service.
• Work with finance to create a capital budget ensuring financial allocations and obligations are met.
• Initiate cost savings measures relating to crewing, standards, and yield.
