About The Position

Join us as an Operations Manager - Event Staffing! Previous event and staffing experience is required. Since 2009, BEST Crowd Management has been bringing venues to life, managing everything from front-of-house staff to comprehensive security operations. Under the direction of the General Manager / Regional Director, the Operations Manager directs and coordinates activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the duties personally or through subordinate staff; coach, train the operations workforce to improve individual skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of previous operations, service, or field/project management experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: event staffing, security, sports management, athletics
  • Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all day-to-day operations are operating within the procedures set forth by the company, including recruiting, hiring, security licensing, training, scheduling, event day operations, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Responsible for creation of staffing estimates, tracking estimated cost vs. actual cost, review of contracts for compliance, supervision of company labor and subcontractors, ensuring accurate payroll, invoices, and timely collections.
  • Suggest operation strategies to improve execution and provide additional value in a cost-effective manner; continuously improve the state of account(s) while safeguarding the company.
  • Effectively communicate goals to the game-day operations team and maintain accurate records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.
  • Proactively communicate with and seek feedback from all customers to continuously improve customer satisfaction; meet with customers regularly to ensure needs are met and share updates with leadership.
  • Supervise and coach subordinates to maintain morale, skills proficiency, and productivity; responsibilities include mentoring, coaching, and developing subordinates, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all payroll records at designated account(s).
  • Ensure accurate and timely scheduling of staff, filling all open positions within 96 hours of shift start time at designated account(s).
  • Adhere to budgets set forth, including overtime percentages, labor percentages, profit rate, open post rate, and revenue within account(s).
  • Be on-call for weekends/evenings, outside of core business hours as needed.
  • Travel up to 25% may be required.
