About The Position

The Operations Manager at Niemann Harvest Market is responsible for assisting the Store Director in maximizing gross profit margins, ensuring sales production, controlling inventory and expenses, and creating a positive customer experience. This role involves developing vendor relationships, cross merchandising, and fostering the store's culture while delivering superior guest service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3 years of customer service experience
  • 5 years of grocery store experience
  • 3 years of merchandising experience
  • 3 years of grocery management experience
  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Delivers superior guest service and ensures absolute customer satisfaction.
  • Learns and uses the three E's: Engagement, Educate, Empowerment.
  • Assists with analyzing and measuring business trends; developing and implementing plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
  • Assists with controlling shrink expenses and payroll.
  • Ensures appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing and assortment in all departments; ensures selling floor is adequately stocked.
  • Be aware of competition activities and report results; share information with supervisor and make appropriate price recommendations.
  • Assists in reviewing department/store trends and recommends and initiates changes for maximizing goals and objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws, policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk through and audits.
  • Acts as NFI's representative both within the store and within the community.
  • Continually evaluates and reacts to performance issues.
  • Actively recruits management candidates.
  • Assists Store Director with training and developing store team in all aspects of the business; directs and monitors training and development for all store personnel.
  • Follows all store and department policies and procedures.
  • Enforces all safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
