About The Position

The Primary Care Network Operations Manager supervises business operations for Primary Care practices including training and development of staff, quality assurance and implementation of work plans. This individual works closely with Primary Care Leadership to ensure accuracy of information and implementation of FLOYD policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or some college coursework with appropriate experience at a minimum.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or clinical field is preferred.
  • Five years supervising a medical practice with two or more physicians.
  • Proficiency with medical office information systems, electronic billing and other automated medical office systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/CPT coding.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, commercial insurance, worker's compensation, occupational medicine, PPO's, HMO's and other third party payer procedures.
  • Accounting procedures, report writing and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors gross revenue and collections as they correlate to patient numbers.
  • Ensures all billing documentation is complete and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Resolves system and operational issues that adversely affect fiscal efficiency.
  • Utilizes historical data to prepare the budget and manage budget in relationship to allocated resources for the primary care network.
  • Works closely with the central billing office to ensure the accuracy of information.
  • Administers and monitors employment policies and procedures in accordance with Advocate Health guidelines to include recruiting, hiring, retention, termination and scheduling staff.
  • Anticipates human resource needs for expansion.
  • Meets regularly on a formal and informal basis with individual practices.
  • Mediates conflict.
  • Serves as a positive role model in written and verbal communication.
  • Utilizes team building and leadership skills in developing a positive work environment for all Primary Care employees.
  • Investigates and analyzes opportunities for growth and expansion of services in conjunction with FLOYD and Primary Care leadership.
  • Utilizes formal educational and professional networks to identify clinical and management trends, issues and interventions.
  • Establishes and implements goals related to patient care in conjunction with individual practices and AHF Medical Group Leadership.
  • Participates fully with AHF Medical Group to ensure attainment of organizational goals.
  • Monitors and evaluates daily overall operations.
  • Prepares reports.
  • Identifies problematic areas and implements corrective action as applicable.
