About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and managing the daily, 24/7 administrative and operational functions of SummitStone Health Partners’ bed-based facilities, including Garcia House and Longview. Two Operations Manager positions exist, with each manager assigned primary responsibility for one facility while working in close partnership and rotational coverage to support operations across both sites. This role ensures safe, high-quality, and efficient care delivery by providing leadership across staffing, facility operations, supply chain, bed and capacity management, and compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local regulations. The Operations Manager works collaboratively with leadership, clinical and medical teams, and system-wide partners, serving as a key operational liaison between staff, residents, families, vendors, and administrative leadership to optimize bed utilization, staffing coverage, and patient flow across both facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field required
  • More than five years of progressive operations management experience in healthcare with at least 2 years in a leadership role required
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required

  • Experience working in a 24/7 behavioral health care setting, residential treatment, inpatient, or acute care setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead and manage the 24/7 day-to-day operations of SummitStone Health Partners’ acute care bed-based facilities, including Longview and Garcia House, serving as the senior operational decision-maker and addressing real-time operational, staffing, facility, security, and patient-flow needs in a high-acuity environment.
  • Oversee and coordinate all facility-based operational functions, including front desk operations, supply chain, vendor relations, kitchen services, environmental services, transportation, scheduling, and bed management; delegates work effectively to ensure efficient interdisciplinary workflows.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and operational readiness, maintaining clean, safe, and therapeutic environments and meeting all federal, state, and local licensing, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain the master staff schedule across multiple disciplines, overseeing the scheduling system, training staff on scheduling processes, resolving staffing conflicts, ensuring compliance with minimum staffing ratios and licensure requirements; oversee call-out and fill-in processes.
  • Manage bed, census, and capacity operations, including admissions, transfers, and discharges, to optimize utilization, staffing coverage, access to care, and patient outcomes across both facilities.
  • Establish and implement operational standards, policies, procedures, and process improvements, ensuring efficient resource utilization, uninterrupted service delivery, and close collaboration with clinical and medical teams.
  • Serve as a key operational liaison and coordinator, aligning residential and acute care operations with system-wide departments and other SHP operations teams to ensure services meet quality standards, operational benchmarks, and business and financial performance expectations.
  • Review, document, and facilitate debriefings for critical incidents, including reviewing security footage and incident reports, preparing summaries for leadership, and coordinating post-incident evaluations with First Responder Trauma Counselors and leadership teams.
  • Provide operational oversight and support for budgets, contracts, grants, and vendor relationships, partnering with leadership to ensure financial accountability, contract compliance, and effective resource management.
  • Serve as the default point of contact when no Administrator on Call (AOC) is present and remains available for operational needs outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends; serves as the Acting Deputy Executive Director for Longview when designated or in their absence.
