About The Position

We are seeking Operations Manager, Distribution & Intralogistics to lead a high-volume, multi-shift warehouse operation supporting a dynamic production environment. This role is responsible for inbound receiving, inventory control, and intralogistics operations, ensuring seamless material flow to support manufacturing and production line demands. This leader will also serve as the primary on-site operational point of contact for our customer, driving alignment, performance, and continuous improvement across all warehouse and line-support activities.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in: Warehouse Operations, distribution, or manufacturing support
  • Proven leadership in multi-shift operations
  • Strong experience in: Inbound receiving and material flow
  • Production support/ intralogistics
  • Inventory control and cycle counting
  • Experience working in a customer-facing or onsite partner environment
  • Hands on experience with WMS/ERP systems and RF technology

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
  • Background in high-SKU, high volume operations
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement experience
  • Experience with temporary management

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
  • Lead all aspects of warehouse operations including: Inbound receiving and put away
  • Inventory control and accuracy
  • Intralogistics / line-side replenishment to production
  • Oversee a multi-shift operation (1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts + Saturday coverage)
  • Ensure staffing, scheduling, and labor planning align with production demand
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Customer & Production Partnership
  • Act as the primary liaison with on-site customer leadership
  • Ensure on-time, accurate material delivery to production lines
  • Participate in meetings and communicate operational constraints or risks
  • Proactively identify and resolve service or supply chain disruptions
  • Inventory & Process Excellence
  • Own inventory accuracy across 20,000+ SKUs
  • Implement and maintain: Cycle counting programs
  • Root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies
  • Location control and slotting strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in: Receiving cycle times
  • Put away efficiency
  • Picking accuracy and line fill rates
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop: Shift supervisors
  • Team leads
  • Warehouse associates and temporary labor
  • Build a high-performance culture across all shifts
  • Conduct performance management, hiring, and workforce planning
  • Ensure consistent communication and execution across shifts
  • Systems & Reporting
  • Utilize WMS / ERP systems (JDE preferred) and RF scanning technology
  • Monitor and report on key KPIs, including: Inventory accuracy
  • On-time delivery to production
  • Dock-to-stock cycle time
  • Labor productivity
  • Leverage data to drive operational decisions and improvements
