The Role (What You’ll Actually Be Doing) This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who likes structure and action. You’ll own the day-to-day operations of the Building Automation team while staying connected to the field and our customers. You’ll: Build smart processes Organize people and work efficiently Lead a technical team Be a trusted problem-solver for customers Help shape the future of the department If you enjoy blending strategy, leadership, and real-world problem solving, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Experience in operations management, ideally in HVAC, building automation, or a related trade
  • Strong organizational skills and a mindset for process improvement
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a technical team
  • Hands-on experience with building automation or HVAC controls
  • Confidence working directly with customers and recommending solutions
  • Clear communicator and natural leader

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EOS is a plus (not required—we’ll teach you)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement clear, scalable procedures for service and project work
  • Identify inefficiencies and turn them into improvements
  • Create systems that make work smoother for both the team and customers
  • Schedule and coordinate service calls and project assignments
  • Ensure the right people and resources are in the right place at the right time
  • Track progress, performance, and results
  • Coach, mentor, and support Building Automation technicians
  • Provide clear expectations, training, and growth opportunities
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and pride in work
  • Work directly with customers to assess needs and deliver solutions
  • Provide technical expertise and real-time problem solving
  • Build long-term customer relationships based on trust and results
  • Partner with Service, Projects, and Plumbing teams
  • Support company-wide initiatives using the EOS framework
  • Help align operations with Hawks & Company’s long-term goals
  • Ensure all work meets Hawks & Company’s standards
  • Address issues quickly, professionally, and proactively
  • Keep customers coming back because the experience was that good
