Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $41.08-$51.35 hourly. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity)

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelors required.
  • Minimum Experience: Must have three – five years’ experience working in Behavioral Health. Inpatient experience preferred. Strong computer skills, ability to multi-task. Must possess strong communication skills and ability to collaborate initiatives with other departments. Must be familiar with regulatory reporting and compliance: CMS, DNV, DOH, OMH, OASAS
  • Required Certification/Registration: Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter. Must become a trainer for hospital crisis training program within 9 months of hire/transfer.
  • Physical Requirements: Travel to multiple facilities is required.

  • Inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Chief Nursing Officer, GHMC-C Nursing Administrator- GHMC; Chair-Department of Psychiatry, Behavioral Health Leadership and Quality Department to develop and implement vision and strategy to ensure the health, safety and protection of Behavioral Health inpatients.
  • Collaborates with Patient Experience, Justice Center, Office of Mental Health and GH Quality Department to respond to patient complaints and grievances.
  • Supports the management of Behavioral Health Services across the organization and provides necessary administrative support and oversight through coordination of clinical, programmatic, and quality activities.
