About The Position

Mercury is seeking an Operations Manager (Squad Leader) to expand and optimize our 24/7 omnichannel client services in current and new geographies. As a Squad Leader, you will hire, train, and lead a team of logistics experts focused on providing a world-class shipping experience for our customers. You will understand our client’s evolving needs deeply and build processes and mechanisms to ensure success. You will provide strong leadership and strategic vision to client success to optimize capacity planning, boost agent knowledge and tools to streamline internal and client-facing workflows. Requirements

  • 5+ years of Logistics experience
  • 3+ years in a people management role leading a team
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Hire, manage, lead, and develop a team of logistics experts
  • Define and track KPIs on the team’s performance, both holistically and at the individual level, and set team goals and priorities to continuously improve
  • Drive teams to retain, nurture and grow key client relationships
  • Serve as a partner for our clients to help them navigate complex shipping
  • Respond to and resolve client escalations; build processes to eliminate repeat issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure client success provides solutions that align well with other teams efforts and drive achievement of organizational goals
  • Equip teams to quickly adopt new support tools and systems to automate and reduce processing times while improving the quality of our services
