As Operations Manager at our fully automated Ingram Micro distribution center, you'll lead high-impact teams and oversee the seamless flow of product from inbound receipt through outbound delivery. You'll drive operational excellence by implementing lean principles, leveraging data analytics, and creating a great positive culture of continuous improvement, high expectations, accountability, and change management. Your leadership will ensure that productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency are always top of mind while maximizing automation and optimizing warehouse performance.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience managing high-performing warehouse or distribution teams.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse operations, lean manufacturing principles, and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable using data and dashboards to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to adapt priorities and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), automated technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution, fulfillment, or supply chain operations.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role with a focus on people development.
  • Experience in an automated warehouse environment a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or familiarity is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of warehouse leaders, hourly associates and support staff to meet daily operational goals.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
  • Implement and support lean process improvements that reduce waste, improve flow, and optimize facility utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to manage capacity, resolve challenges, and support company objectives.
  • Maintain accountability for labor planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
  • Support automation initiatives and leverage systems such as SAP, Exacta, IMFirst, and IMPulse for operational effectiveness.
  • Manage different automated systems and machinery such as OPEX, Bastian, and Packsize amongst others.
