The Operations Manager is a key part of the leadership team and is responsible for the successful management of Talent, Production, Quality, and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) teams. The position will regularly collaborate with key senior stakeholders to develop corporate strategy. The position will be responsible for managing budgets and ensuring the overall fiscal health and success of sites. Essential Responsibilities Responsible for the successful day-to-day operations of the facility/pillar and development and execution of business strategy. Address and effectively resolve personnel or departmental issues in a timely/professional manner. Participate in development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOP). Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing EH&S standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. Responsible for monthly business KPls, including billing, quality, safety, etc., and meeting or exceeding operations’ budget expectations. Ensure the fiscal health of facility by making sound, strategic and responsible business decisions. In collaboration with senior management, forecast and manage capital and operational budgets for sites. Provide input with Sales team on new business initiatives, and support cost savings and opportunity initiatives. Liaise between various departments and stakeholders, including Prepress, Manufacturing, Sales, and Account and Project Managers. Participate in decisions regarding location operations, staffing, company policies, etc. Work with Production Managers on FMEA process and implementation of workflows to drive 100% quality compliance. Provide input to senior management and account managers relative to meeting customer expectations for timing and delivery. Communicate customer issues and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints. Work with all cross-functional teams to enhance the quality of service to customers with special attention to on-time delivery and product quality. Help provide technical support for internal and external customers. Provide direct supervision to local management to ensure the effective and successful management of all departments. Oversee continued staff communications through regular facility and department meetings. Provide ongoing performance management to direct reports and foster a learning environment. Lead and coach direct reports and conduct regular performance development meetings to inspire and help foster a high-performing management team. Conduct annual performance reviews. Foster a culture of trust; continuous improvement; top performance; high morale; and alignment with the company’s core values. Work closely with Human Resources on workforce planning and budgeting, policy development, legal compliance, and performance development. Assist with the execution of all corporate Human Resources initiatives. Comply with all SGS standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Assist with additional responsibilities as directed by management.
