The Operations & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of various electronic control systems and equipment, specifically related to satellite data flow paths and antenna systems. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment, ensuring scheduled passes are supported, and maintaining data integrity. The technician will work with a wide array of operational equipment including Cortex, PTP, Matrix switches, 700MR receivers, 1620 Combiners, Front End Processor, IMUX, GDP Model 268 Bit Synchronizers, TSS 2000, MFRs, DFM antenna drive system, GSIF equipment, GOES TACTS system, Fiber optic transmitters and receivers, up and down converters, multi-couplers, level converters, and IOLAN communication server. Additionally, the position requires proficiency with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and generators, along with a strong understanding of electronic principles, RF fundamentals, and advanced soldering techniques. The technician must be capable of isolating and resolving problems efficiently to ensure continuous data capture and system functionality.
