About The Position

The Wiltern, a Live Nation venue, is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Operations/Maintenance professional to join its team. This position offers hands-on experience in an exciting, fast-paced, friendly, and inspired setting. This is not a remote position and reports to the Assistant General Manager and Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+ and occasional sitting.

Nice To Haves

  • An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with the venue management to perform day of show duties.
  • Assists in the setup and tear down of the venue's assets for all events - Chairs, tables, tents, signage, etc.
  • Executes timely marquee changes and updates for upcoming events to ensure accurate public display and promotion; must be comfortable working at heights more than 30 feet.
  • Supports venue operations through other assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform regular preventive and general maintenance around the site, buildings, including painting, cleaning, landscaping and misc. projects.
  • Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Live Nation policy.
  • Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members.
  • Diagnose safety issues around the site, help prevent potential safety hazards.
  • Detect and/or respond to faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • If applicable, driving forklift and/or other company vehicles and complete all required tasks that fall under those positions.
  • Assist with venue setup/event conversions.
  • Assist in the day-to-day cleaning and housekeeping duties around the venue and site.
  • Participate in the venue’s sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Additional tasks as requested by management.
