About The Position

The Operations and Maintenance Coordinator at Ingevity is responsible for managing a team of area operators and acting as the production coordinator for the operations group. This role involves ensuring adherence to production plans, addressing operator concerns, and coordinating with maintenance for repairs. The coordinator monitors daily operations, oversees safety and environmental issues, and supports process improvements and training initiatives.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years related industrial experience, with 2 years supervisory, engineering, or coordinator experience required.
• Technical Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Understanding of SAP, plant processes, and production flow is required.
• Strong team management skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, Proficy, and Electronic Document Management Systems.
• Strong logistics background is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of area operators and act as production coordinator for the operations group.
• Coordinate with the area maintenance coordinator on scheduling and executing repairs.
• Review daily operating priorities with operators and provide performance feedback.
• Monitor daily operations for proper functioning and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure the plant has set production plans for at least a week out and that the operations group follows this plan.
• Investigate deviations from the production plan and set new plans as necessary.
• Develop training packages and conduct operator training on existing, new, and modified plant equipment and processes.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for any issues that arise in the plant.
• Act as backup to the Production Manager and Production Engineers as needed.
• Assist with outage planning and execution.
