Apply now for the position of Operations Leadership Development Program Summer Intern. An Internship in the Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) places you in the center of some of the most dynamic areas of Siemens Healthineers’ business operations. As a summer intern, you will work to learn and apply business skills in support of manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, and procurement. In the OLDP Internship, you interact with other OLDP Interns and full-time Associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to grow a network with senior managers within Operations. Your projects will work to increase efficiency and sustainability and while you learn daily operations to ensure production goals are met, improvements are made, and systems are managed. Operations Leadership Development Principles: Leadership Learning Networking Business Contribution. Internship positions include East Walpole, MA; Elkhart, IN; and Glasgow (Newark) DE. Relocation is provided for candidates located greater than 50 miles from their assigned site. Internship Dates and Duration: Approximately 12 weeks from late May/early July, until early/mid-August 2026.

Requirements

  • Majors: BS/BA – Operations/Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Biochemistry and Biology related sciences, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Molding Engineering, Distribution Management, Automation, Statistics, and similar STEM concentrations.
  • Rising undergraduate Seniors (current Juniors) pursuing a BS/BA from an accredited technical school, college, or university with an expected graduation date before July 2026.
  • Ability to work on-site, 40 hours per week, from May to August.
  • Strong interest in working in a production environment.
  • Recommended minimum GPA: 3.0.
  • Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply business skills in support of manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, and procurement.
  • Interact with other OLDP Interns and full-time Associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Work on projects to increase efficiency and sustainability.
  • Ensure production goals are met, improvements are made, and systems are managed.
  • Lead projects and learn new disciplines.
  • Grow a strong internal network with peers and senior management.
  • Participate in learning workshops and training courses.
  • Develop an introductory understanding of the main process elements of Supply Chain.
  • Routine interaction with the OLDP Program Director and networking events.
