About The Position

Responsibilities: Take ownership of leading a hardworking 2nd Shift team, guiding day‑to-day production and warehouse activities with confidence and growing leadership skill. Assign work tasks clearly and efficiently, helping teammates understand expectations and succeed in their roles. Partner closely with other departments and support functions to keep shift operations running smoothly. Step in quickly to identify issues on the floor — whether product, process, or quality — and help resolve or escalate them appropriately. Ensure any nonconforming product is controlled and corrected before moving forward. Play a hands‑on role in onboarding and training new team members, building a capable and confident workforce. Encourage continuous improvement by supporting teammates, sharing ideas, and strengthening teamwork. Keep safety front‑and‑center by speaking up about concerns and reinforcing safe work habits. Model the behavior of a strong front‑line leader — dependable, positive, and consistent — helping shape a supportive team culture. Communicate shift performance, challenges, and improvement ideas with transparency and ownership. Follow up on assigned responsibilities and ensure work is completed to standard. Take on additional tasks needed to support the success of the shift. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working on a shop floor or in operations, with a desire to take the next step into leadership. Some prior experience leading people — formally or informally — such as mentoring peers, training new hires, or serving as a team lead. Strong communication and people‑skills, especially in motivating teammates and building trust. Comfortable learning and using systems such as Excel, Word, and other systems. A natural coach who enjoys helping others learn, grow, and improve. Demonstrated initiative — someone who steps up, follows through, and wants to develop into a strong, respected front‑line leader.
