About the position

The Operations Lead (OL) reports to the Operations Manager and supports store processes and an active selling culture by ensuring that all aspects are maintained to documented company standards designed to drive sales. The OL works on all operation processes, including opening, closing, training, and delegation of tasks, while always demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. The OL's responsibilities require enthusiasm for vigorous lifting, carrying, moving around the warehouse-format store, and stocking.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all store opening, closing, and Front-End processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate directly with the Operations Manager to maximize staffing effectiveness that supports traffic, sales, and the customer experience.
  • Participate in Task Management by planning/executing the daily/weekly zone workload and assigning tasks.
  • Support the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention expense control, and customer experience.
  • Drive productivity by training, coaching, planning, monitoring, and appraising results.
  • Leverage daily interactions and team huddles to communicate and teach/train topics that support the customer experience.
  • Participate in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions.
  • Process freight, sort and stock products on shelves, including down stocking and end cap maintenance.
  • Perform all other duties assigned based on business needs.
  • Maintain open availability.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent.
  • Background Check will be completed.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, climb, and reach at times.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable and trustworthy role model for ethical and honest behavior.
  • Creates a sense of urgency; promotes teamwork; delegates appropriately.
  • Ability to comprehend, train, develop, motivate, and lead in a manner that fosters a positive work environment.
