About The Position

Janitorial Supervisor at CBM System L.L.C. Shift: 6PM to 2:30AM These hours may be subject to change with operational needs Hourly Rate: 21.00/hr. - $22.00/hr. DOE Location: Portland, OR – Multiple Locations in the greater Portland Area and Surrounding Portland Area

Requirements

  • You must be 18 years old.
  • A pre-employment criminal background check is required.
  • Able to work in a medical environment and work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license/good driving record
  • For safety reasons, you must be able to speak English.
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience in a mobile management role
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in a commercial cleaning or similar environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience working with a diverse population
  • Bilingual in two or more languages, with English being one of those languages

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the operational team, the supervisor is responsible for the daily maintenance of the facilities.
  • Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services and take corrective action.
  • May order and pick up janitorial supplies and equipment, take inventories, perform audits, oversee, and train new employees, fill in if there is a call out at a location and work with clients at times.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers at multiple work sites engaged in janitorial services.
  • Assigns janitorial work to employees, following material and work requirements.
  • Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards.
  • Confers with and coaches’ staff to resolve production and personnel problems.
  • Train workers in janitorial methods and procedures and proper operation of equipment.
  • Issues janitorial supplies and equipment to workers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
  • Ensures clients are satisfied with the current performance of the team.
  • Completes regular quality inspections of assigned accounts and acts appropriately based on results of the quality inspections.
  • Holds regular feedback conversations with staff to discuss performance and development goals
  • Ensures all associates are properly trained at each assigned account with a focus on long term retention.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees by enforcing the company’s safety, recognition, and training programs.
  • Handles administrative duties of assigned accounts to include, but not limited to: timekeeping, documentation of employee performance and safety, and maintaining inventory of necessary supplies
