The Circulation position is focused on the continuous improvement of existing production lines within a manufacturing environment. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, including optimizing floor layouts, improving material flow, and creating work cells to achieve expected work output. The position requires the generation and modification of standard work procedures and the creation of job aids and fixtures to enhance ergonomics and productivity for operators. The successful candidate will be expected to engage actively in the production environment, spending approximately 75% of their workday on the production floor to effectively perform their job responsibilities. In this role, the individual must be self-motivated and possess basic project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the position involves building strong partnerships and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality Engineering, and Operations. The candidate should demonstrate a desire and ability to learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma techniques to drive improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics. Responsibilities also include designing, conducting, and analyzing time/motion studies, as well as creating, publishing, and maintaining standard worksheets. The position requires the identification, design, and execution of line layout and process improvements, along with the development and implementation of templates, procedures, and standards to support the quality system, lean management program, and safety program deployment and maintenance. Proficiency in utilizing software tools to collect and analyze production data is necessary, and the ability to read and draw floor layout prints using 2D CAD software, such as AutoCAD, is also required. The candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs and provide their own transportation to and from work.
