About The Position

The Operations Integration Specialist position within the Department of Defense is a critical role that provides administrative and logistical support to the J54 Integration Branch across various mission areas. The specialist will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of conferences and events at the AFRICOM-wide or J5 Directorate level, where the J54 serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) or Office of Coordinating Responsibility (OCR). This role requires a keen understanding of the integration of Country Cooperation Plans (CCP) with cross-cutting efforts, particularly in relation to programs such as Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) and the Africa Enlisted Development (AED) strategy implementation. As a member of a Joint Planning Team, the Operations Integration Specialist will play a vital role in major events, including the annual African Senior Enlisted Leaders Conference (ASELC) and the Requirements Synchronization Work Group (RSWG). The specialist will be tasked with presenting critical security cooperation program information in a comprehensive manner, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed and engaged. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the utilization of the Command-and-Control Information Environment (C2IE) and ensuring data entry aligns with other J5 divisions to maintain transparency regarding AFRICOM's Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAI). The position also requires effective communication and coordination with key stakeholders to convey requests for information, consolidate the requested information, and draft initial responses for division leadership. This multifaceted role is essential for the successful integration and execution of operations within the Department of Defense, particularly in the context of international cooperation and security initiatives.
